"Political language -- and with variations this is true of all political parties, from Conservatives to Anarchists -- is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind."

When the Music's Over
Dying content and revenue models, decreasing quality of product, ridiculous pricing strategies, almost no industry foresight, belligerently opaque public relations -- it's actually surprising that the RIAA hasn't applied for a bailout yet.
I would imagine it's because they represent the labels rather than the artists (ie. those who actually work to make the music).
ReplyDeleteHollywood, however, is ripe for a handout. Can you imagine the wingnut reaction?
Talk about an "industry" that deserves to die, and has.
