Wage Slaves
Here's a fun little map showing the drop in median incomes over the past six years. Compared to Michigan and North Carolina, I actually feel lunky that California's median only dropped 3.6 percent.

I'm surprised my home state of New York is only -2.7%. With out cost of living it definitely feels worse.
