ClownHall Goes To The Movies

Checking out ClownHall for fun stuff for commentary is a lot like shooting fish in the proverbial barrel. There's just so much to choose from. And we're gonna get to some good stuff throughout the week. But I thought this was just too good to pass up.

Apparently their "Top Ten Movies of 2005" is merely a direct link to Roger Ebert's picks, some which seem a bit, shall we say, at odds with CH's professed values of red-blooded stoicism and fluid-free icon masturbation. Here's the Top Ten list, as linked on TownHall's very own site, from the guy who wrote the screenplay to Beyond the Valley of the Dolls:
  1. Crash

  2. Syriana

  3. Munich

  4. Junebug

  5. Brokeback Mountain

  6. Me and You and Everyone We Know

  7. Nine Lives

  8. King Kong

  9. Yes

  10. Millions

And here I assumed that any best movies list posted on TownHall would begin with Passion of the Christ (no matter what the year) and end with Chronicles of Narnia (which really is an outstanding movie, whatever Disney's attempt to niche market for those Passion dollars). Guess you learn something new every day.

Still, you know, once Phyllis Schlafly finds out about this, the whiplash of surprise may jar her Bozo the Clown wig loose.
