Excellent LA Times piece on life in North Korea, a country that fascinates me precisely because of its closed society, such an anachronism -- and needlessly so. Whenever Korean reunification finally does take place, no doubt there will be absorption problems à la Germany, but like Germany, it will be worth the trouble.
