Four CBS News staff members fired for their role in Guard story
Wait, wait, wait....so let me get this straight -- if you pull documents out of your ass that happen to be factually true (no one, not even the Bush campaign even tried to address the facts and dates; the records got "lost" or "flooded" or something), the whole thing's a huge scandal, and your career is over.
If you pull stove-piped intelligence data out of your ass, declare the case a "slam-dunk", fail even to plan for the falsehood and get a lot of soldiers and a lot of innocent people killed, etc., etc., we all know the gory details by now -- well, that gets you the Congressional Medal of Honor, or a promotion in the State or Defense Department.
Yeah, that makes sense.
